Visual Artist, Poet, Radio Host
I am a gay male older man living in Powell River. I graduated from the Vancouver School of Art in 1977 with a four year diploma in Painting and did a post grad year with Don Jarvis when it became Emily Carr College and now it is University.
I was one of the founding members of the Reflections Gallery in Gastown in Vancouver in 1981 and had my first one man exhibition there in 1982. Since then I have had my paintings in many different exhibitions. Had paintings in the ‘Expose Yourself Show’ at the Rodmay Hotel in Townsite in 2012 and a painting in the first Group Show at The Art Centre in Powell River in 2018. Had my first one man show ‘Windows to the World’ in Powell River at Vancouver Island University From January 31- March 6th, 2019.
I have various interests, bike riding, hiking, cooking, doing a radio show, writing chapbooks of poetry, I like to watch sports, baseball, soccer and when living in Nanaimo, 2004- 2011 played baseball on a team. The younger male sports figure has been the subject of many paintings and I like to incorporate landscapes from wherever I am living.
